We provide a step-by-step arrangement to keep your move stress free. DSD can handle and look after all of your household items, moving them to whatever location you need no matter how complex.

We organise a removal plan with each client, making sure that we explain every step clearly. DSD will list every item on the plan. For peace of mind, we ensure that every item that needs to be packed up and unpacked in the new property is easily locatable. We will take extra special care of your valuable and fragile items, ensuring that they don’t get damaged during transit.

Penultimate Packing Service

Imagine stepping into your new home to be welcomed by tidily arranged items, clean carpets, a connected TV, a kitchen that is arranged to prepare a hot meal for your family and a bedroom ready for a perfect night’s sleep. You can relax whilst we do all the hard work for you. Our team will undertake everything with this service. This includes:

On and before the move

You will get a visit from one of our train, pre-move surveyors. They will agree on a detailed, step-by-step removal plan with you, so both parties know exactly what is expected from us. Every single belonging is listed in the plan – even out of sight items in loft spaces and cupboards.

We will provide a full packing service at the loading address, ensuring that the process is as smooth as possible.

Valuables

Important items such as paperwork, jewellery and personal files will be kept in a safe place and given to you when you leave the property.

The actual move

When our removal team has delivered your possessions, you don’t need to unpack a simple box. We’ll transform the chaos into organised calm whilst you relax.

On arrival

We unpack your first-night essentials straight away. The following day, we’ll arrive early go unpack all of your boxes and organise each room to your specification.

Your possessions

Our team will make sure that all cupboards and shelves are clean before anything is put away. Furniture, books and ornaments can be placed as directed by you, or you can leave that to our experts who pay excellent attention to detail.

The finishing touches

Once we have unpacked everything, we will clean and vacuum your home. We will also leave a complimentary ‘welcome box’ alongside a bunch of fresh flowers. We’ll then walk you around the house to make sure you are completely satisfied.

Full packing and unpacking service

Our professional packers will come to your house to carry out the full packing, usually the day before the move. They will pack all of the glass, china, cutlery, books, linen, toys, lamps and small items ranging from drawers, cupboards, under stairs, under beds, sheds etc.

Items such as large paintings, mirrors and other fragile possessions will all be protected individually. At your new home, the packed cartons will be emptied and the contents will be left for you to place them on the shelves at your leisure.

Our team will remove all cartons and packaging materials away, so your home is left waste-free.

Full packing service at removals address

With this service, we pack absolutely everything – leaving you to simply sit back and watch. This involves professional packer(s) visiting your house, usually a day before the move. They will pack glass, china, ornaments, cutlery, books, linen, lamps toys and any other small items into packing boxes. Also, large paintings and mirrors will be protected individually. The packers will go through the house and check all items that need to be packed with you. Therefore, no important paperwork or valuables will be packed without your consent.

All cartons are labelled with detailed contents, the room that it came from and the proposed location in the new home.

Packing of fragile items

Professional packer(s) will come to your house, usually a day before the move. All of the china, glassware, ornaments and fragile items are professionally packed. Our team will use a range of modern cartons and packing materials. That leaves you to pack your cutlery, books, linen and other non-fragile items.

Self-packing

We can also offer our services to you if you prepare to pack your belongings yourself. That’s because we offer a wide range of top quality packing materials for you to use. We provide hire of packing boxes and wardrobe cartons (subject to availability). However, for deliveries within London, we’ll require a deposit. This is fully refundable after you’ve returned the cartons or moving boxes.

For deliveries outside of West Yorkshire, we require payment on the day of the delivery.
